I am passionate about helping people to improve their health and quality of life.  Most of us just do what our doctors tell us to and have the feeling of assurance that the doctor knows what is best and is correct.  Doctors are wonderful people, don't get me wrong; however, it's our body that knows best.  Just because we are diagnosed with an illness, it is not the end of the world - that is not a permanent situation, and we don't have to enter an automatic monthly refill (autoship) plan for our prescriptions!  Simple lifestyle changes and tweaking of our diets can have a great impact.  Our bodies are very smart, smarter than computers! Take time to listen to your body, heart and soul....you will receive the answer.  It's all about balance.

I am certified by the Board of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a holistic health practitioner.

From my training at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, I have learned about the immense impact of stress on our health; and when I discovered the huge benefits that laughter has in combating stress, I quickly signed up to learn how I could help others with this approach.  I am also a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader, having received my training from the American School of Laughter Yoga, and am happily spreading with joy and good cheer that LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE!

Thank you very much for such a wonderful lesson in laughing. I felt so good for so long afterwards, it was as if my lungs had opened up like never before. And the idea of having fun while exercising the lungs made it all the more enjoyable.

I must admit that I was a bit skeptical about going to the session, as I didn't think I would get much benefit from it; and it seemed silly and childish to be laughing in front of others. As adults, we are conditioned by society to not do such things beyond a certain age. It feels normal for a child, but not for an adult. However, in doing the laughter yoga as a group, all inhibitions disappeared, everyone was equal, and it was so much fun, in addition to being a terrific workout. We don't realize that exercising the lungs to their full capacity has immediate and long term benefits.  So Jyoti, thank you again for the session, and I look forward to the next one! -- Vikram S.
